VXDIAG Benz C6 2021.6 VCI Multiplexer Failed Solution

 

The problem goes like this:  I just try to read fault codes with Vxdiag Benz C6 new 6-2021 xentry version, but the VCI can’t make connection to car (W212).
Opens normally and start making connection, popup says VCI available But when starting diagnosis don’t connect, comes initialization of multiplexer failed fault info screen. See pic attached

VX Manager seems good, and I have update VCI and make reconnecting, nothing don’t help.

Benz C6 OEM DOIP VCI Not used with Xentry Solution

 

I purchased the BENZ C6 OEM DOIP Xentry Diagnosis and am having some issues with it. It appears that it cannot communicate with a Xentry. I do have my own WLAN dongle since one was not provided but am unsure if i set up the dongle correctly or what else needs to be done to get it connected. I questioned the seller’s engineer and finally they help me connected it to the vehicle by Teamviewer.

The seller help me by Teamviewer:

I have Benz software installed not on the desktop. When the seller help me by Teamviewer, they may also double click that Mercedes Icon at the top and all the shortcuts are there.

The engineer replied:

This is c6 wifi, the password is 12345678, if you need to connect to c6 wifi, the remote will be disconnected.

And I questioned:

Got it, do i need to use the wireless dongle to connect to it or can I use my laptops built in adaptor?

The engineer replied:

No. If you use wireless connection, you need to disconnect the usb cable.

If your computer has a built-in wireless network card, you don’t need this dongle:

Finally! Thanks to his quick help I connected it to the vehicle.

Sometimes it will happen: when MB Star C6 OEM Xentry is connected to the truck with the supplied cable, there will be a situation where the data cannot be read. The following is how to solve the problem

Problem: The device can’t read (vehicle)data

And after trying the Sprinter years2011/2010/2012, the same error will appear, and the cause of the error may be the following:
Initialization of diagnosis multiplexer failed.

Possible causes:
The link between the diagnosis multiplexer and the diagnostic unit is interrupted
The voltage supply at the diagnostic socket(circuit 30 and(or)circuit)is faulty
Note: When using SD connect, check the connection status using the Toolkit

Solution:
Open VX manager to see if it is connected to the device, if it is normal, you need to reinstall the driver

How to configure OEM Benz C6 Xentry VCI Mercedes Benz diagnostic interface?

Procedure:

Double click “ConfigAssist” on the desktop, select XENTRY Diagnosis VCI

Click on Configure

Press Continue

Press Continue

Select Manual and enter StartKey

Save StartKey

StartKey installed successfully. Press OK to continue

Register success. Press Continue.

Click on “Couple VCI” to connect VCI

Configuration success. Quit.

Connect Star C6 with the vehicle

Run DTS Monaco software

HU5 Ethernet option cannot be found in the [Diagnostic Services] option

So exit the software to export the data

Click on [Administrate and manage DTS projects]

In the [System Configurator] menu, click on [System settings]-> Interfaces]

Check whether the options are correct in [ISO_DOIP_SMR (MVCI_DAIMLER_DOIP_Collection)], [Physical links], [VCI_SMR (MODULE_TYPE_ID_MTS6532)] and [Physical links]

Then go to Xentry Diagnosis application location

Path: Benz (C:)-> Program Files (x86)-> Mercedes-Benz-> Xentry-> Kontexte-> ODXProjekte-> PKW_COMMON-> dbr

Copy all the related HU5 control module data and paste to [205 DTS DOIP] file

Open [Temporary workspace]

Select all HU5 module data

Then click on [Open]

Select [MBCar_MBVan_SMR_DiagnosticCVAN_V_02_02]

And then click on [Finish]

Click on the switch icon

If the Execute broadcast notice pops up with the words “Broadcast might not be supported by the currently activated interfaces” as below, just click on “OK”

Select [HU5 (UDS_Ethernet)] option to view the software number

Then select [HU5 (UDS_Ethernet). HU5_HU5_Bootloader]-> [Flash Programming]-> [Temporarily add flash data]

Select the related flash files and open as below

Tick all the sessions and click on [DiagnosticService]

Click on [Read ID] to confirm the software number again

Switch to [Flash Programming] menu

Click [Stop] to program and refresh ECU

Operate it until the programming process is completed

Done!

How to solve VXDIAG VCX SE Benz can´t install C6 Driver

 

Problem with the driver-installation of VXDIAG VCX SE Benz.

I installed Xentry 03.2021 and after that, i installed the VCX-Manager 1.8.4 Build 0315, VCI-Manager(Daimler) 21.03.15 and XDVCIUpdate 20210221.  And all the needed Licences.

But now i have a huge Problem, that during the installation of C6-Driver i get an error-message “Xentry diagnosis software not installed”. See picture below.

My Xentry is installed and its running good.

I think, the problem is, that i installed my Xentry 03.2021 on another Partition (Drive D:\Mercedes-Benz\) and now the installer is trying to find a version of Xentry e.g in “C:\Program Files (x86)\Mercedes-Benz\Xentry\bin\”

Finally, solved!

So I found out, that the original C-6 installer is looking in the

“Standard-Installation-Directory” (e.g. c:\program files(x86)\Mercedes-Benz\Xentry….) for an installed Version of Xentry.

And there is no other possibility to tell the Installer, where Xentry was installed….in my case in drive d:\Mercedes-Benz…..)

I was forced to reinstall Xentry in the default path. And after that, the C6-installer from Obd2tool.com was able to detect my Xentry-Version immediately.

Now everything is running very good. Xentry and VCX SE Benz C6.
